High-Purity Negative T Cell Isolation Using Akadeum’s GMP Microbubble Technology
This collaborative study between the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Akadeum Life Sciences demonstrates high-purity, high-viability T cell isolation using Akadeum’s GMP microbubble technology integrated with Cytiva’s Sepax™️ for a fully closed, automated workflow.
Using a gentle, buoyancy-based negative selection approach, the process achieved >95% CD3⁺ purity and robust recovery in just 45 minutes. The resulting T cells remained untouched prior to activation, supporting the preservation of cell health, functionality, and phenotype critical to downstream CAR T manufacturing.
