Addressing Cell Therapy Production Challenges with Akadeum’s Microbubble Cell Separation Technology
Akadeum Field Applications Scientist Effie Huang and Associate Product Manager Jason Ellis introduce Akadeum’s microbubble cell separation technology and the Human T Cell Leukopak Isolation Kit in this webinar, which took place on March 19, 2024.
Illustrating critical steps of cell therapy workflow, Ms. Huang explains how Akadeum’s products can improve efficiency and cell quality. She then introduces Akadeum’s Human T Cell Leukopak Isolation Kit and discusses the components of the kit, explaining how it is flexible, scalable, and easily integrated into existing workflows.
Data from an Akadeum customer is presented to compare microbubble cell separation and magnetic cell separation. The data demonstrate superior isolation of T cells in closed system bags and reduction of key impurities that interfere with transduction efficiency by using the Human T Cell Leukopak Isolation kit. Ms. Huang concluded by explaining how Akadeum solves key challenges in the C> manufacturing process.
