Revolutionizing Cell Therapy: Introducing the Alerion Microbubble Cell Separation System with Poseida

This webinar, presented on May 2, 2024, features Akadeum Field Applications Scientist Effie Huang and Poseida Therapeutics Senior Process Development Scientist Julian Kopelove. In it, they present the results of a side-by-side comparison between Poseida’s benchmark magnetic cell isolation procedure and Akadeum’s Alerion Microbubble Cell Separation System for T cell isolation from peripheral blood samples.

In each experiment, Poseida evaluated the Alerion for the following attributes:

• Purity and T cell recovery
• Ability to remove impurities that impact transduction efficiency
• Process scalability
• Processing time

Data is presented on the above attributes for all experiments, with the Alerion and microbubbles outperforming magnetic cell separation in all studies. Mr. Kopelove and Poseida Therapeutics were pleased with the performance, ease of use, and results obtained by the Alerion cell separation system.
